There Are Only Four Things In Your Way (Not 100)

Guest post by John Assaraf, CEO of Neurogym

Habits and beliefs programmed into your mind over a lifetime of responding to experiences are stored in long-term memory and may cause you to resist new ways of doing things, but this finely honed resistance can be identified and overcome.

It might feel like there are a hundred things (or more!) holding you back from making the changes you want to see in your life, but the truth is that it all comes down to these four:

  1. Self-image / Self-esteem / Self-worth: At some level, you don’t feel worthy of achieving the goals and dreams you have, so there’s a disconnect between your goals and the tangible steps you take to achieve them.
  2. Fear: There are a variety of core fears, like fear of failure; fear of success; fear of disappointing yourself or others; and fear of being embarrassed, ashamed, ridiculed, or judged. Your fears hold you back from achieving your goals.
  3. Stories / Excuses: You think you’re too old, too young, not good enough, too skilled, too white, too Asian, too black, etcetera. These stories and excuses are keeping you from living your best life. They are reinforced subconscious patterns that cause you to think, feel, and consistently behave in ways that produce the same results over and over again.
  4. A Belief That You Lack Knowledge or Skills: This is the least of your problems, but you let it hold you back. Your success really has nothing to do with your knowledge and skills because you can get knowledge and skills in nanoseconds online. You can easily figure out what you need to do and how to do it, so it’s not lack of knowledge or skill that really holds you back.

It’s your mindset, emotional blocks, and deeply ingrained habits that you must release to clear the path to your greatest victories and successes.

All of these limiting thought patterns keep you stuck, and then you formulate habits that match your beliefs. If you resolve these patterns, though, you can really start achieving success… more than you ever thought possible.

The Solution: Train Your Brain

Your brain is an astonishingly complex and powerful organ, but for all that power, reaching your goals can seem impossible at times.

The human brain has evolved greatly to keep us safe and running efficiently, but priorities are different now than they were seven million ago. Your brain is a work in progress and often struggles to keep up with the changes needed to meet your new priorities.

Old habits and automated ways of thinking, feeling, and acting can keep you stuck, but cutting-edge technology and the science of neuroplasticity have finally unlocked the door to breaking free from these patterns. ‘

By training your brain with “Innercises” just as you would train your body with exercises, you can empower yourself to recognise and release whatever is holding you back from your fullest potential and the grandest vision for your life.

While motivational strategies and positive thinking can affect the conscious or logical part of your brain, it’s your subconscious, emotional, and instinctual brain that predominantly drives your behaviours. In other words, in order to break free from where you are and get to where you want to be, you must retrain your subconscious mind to be in agreement with your conscious mind and goals.

The good news is that brain scan studies show that you can change and strengthen the key areas in your brain that control your conscious and subconscious nature.

It largely requires applying right-brain training methodologies and technologies to rescript and reshape your self-image and self-confidence, resetting many of the unproductive perceptions and mental and emotional habits that drive your daily behaviour.

Unlock Your Brain’s Hidden Powers!

The frontiers of brain science and the practical here-and-now success of Innercising tell us is that change is possible. Yes, it may be hard. Yes, you’re going to experience discomfort and relapses. Yes, you’ll face challenges.

But the lesson is this: You are in the driver’s seat.

With your conscious effort, you can deliberately gain more control over the direction of your life. You can go from feelings of hopelessness and being trapped in your excuses to creating the life of your dreams.

You stand at the forefront of a revolution in brain science that can provide you with better tools to work more productively with far greater emotional and spiritual balance—a revolution that can help you create a life filled with deeper meaning, passion, purpose, and joy.

All it Takes is Willingness to Commit

Some people manage to override their resistance and achieve change. They lose weight and keep it off; they start businesses that fuel them; they get promoted; they earn more; they have loving and fulfilling relationships; they find true happiness; they write a book and take dancing lessons.

They thrive, not just survive  – and so can you.

Ask yourself: Are you merely interested in having the life you desire, or are you committed to having it?
